TOWARDS A NEW MODEL OF EDUCATION

At the Growth Online Knowledge Base we have compiled a number of fresh, new thoughts on the future of education based on new approaches and higher consciousness.  We begin by exploring new insights into the Definitions, Meaning, Benefits of and Education. Thereafter we discuss the Limitations of the Current methods of education, and the Potentials of a New Type of Education that is Student-oriented rather than teacher oriented. In particular, we discuss the powers of Self-Learning, and Self-Discrimination in child and higher education. We then discuss what it is that truly mean by thinking, as well as to develop capacity for insight, spiritual intuition, and thus genius. We also talk about the importance of applying the knowledge gained through life experience. We then consider what it is that enables accomplishment in life, and how that relates to the new methods of teaching based on inner-direction and higher consciousness that we are advocating. This leads into a discussion on the nature of and the development in the student of true Character & Personality Building and how that relates to the way students learn. This invariably comes right to the central point of developing the inner, higher consciousness that enables genius and infinite accomplishment in life. Naturally, we must address the role of the school in that process, as well as the roll of the teacher (or rather mentor) in this consciousness-based learning. Finally, we cover issues specific to Child Education, including many of the topics listed above.

PRINCIPLES OF A NEW EDUCATION

• Education should seek out the soul in each student

• Education should give the student the freedom to discover his/her own soul and thus his/her deepest interests

• No memorization, no testing.

• The teacher is there to guide, not to instruct

• No punishment at any level, including psychological is permitted

• The teacher must find his own inner being in order to recognize the true self of the student

• Each student by realizing one's Self can very rapidly acquire knowledge

• Each student can in this way become a genius

• Schools organized around these principles will produce endless geniuses in their communities

• These approaches will give students enormous advantages in life

• Students can learn to bring the spirit into the becomings of their lives, instantaneously releasing the infinite potentials of life
