 Strategies that Overcome Serious Problems
When serious problems come your way, taking up any of these general strategies tend to alleviate or eliminate them. (Often life will respond with sudden good fortune to that effort.)

  • Stay calm; remain positive and cheerful.

  • Offer the problem to the spiritual Force, and have faith in the answer.

  • Try to discover corresponding elements in yourself that attracted the problem, and then make an effort to reverse that quality. Also offer that to the Spirit.

  • See the negative as a positive in disguise. (Note how past difficulties led to new opportunities, new ways of viewing yourself and life, etc. The same is true here.)

  • Try to move your consciousness one level deeper, which will enable you to perceive things more clearly.

  • See your life in an upward path of which this problem is actually a positive milestone.

  • Come up with practical solutions and act on it. In some case, not acting or thinking about it may be the better course. (Problems can often be exacerbated by giving it greater attention. It depends on the situation and your nature.)

  • Watch for subtle signs that are giving you clues in which direction to move.

Ways to Solve Problems
There are many ways to solve a problem. When you take to them, life tends to cooperate with your efforts, and the problem quickly dissipates; often replaced with new opportunities. Here is a partial list.

-Give it more attention when it deserves it. Give it less attention when you are too preoccupied with it.

-Forgetting a problem often solves it.

-Use your mind to formulate it; considering the issue from all sides.

-Do not be stuck in your own limited view.

-Speak to others who might be helpful.

-Look for the solution in the cause of the problem itself.

-Every problem has a key to its resolution -- from an object, person idea, or act.

-Be focused, positive, and patient

-Despite it, take a positive, cheerful view of things.

-Move from anguish to inner calm and equality of being.

-Perceive negatives as positives in disguise.

-Offer the problem itself (as well as your responsibility) to the Divine for its resolution.

-Move to mental silence, allowing solutions to come through vision and intuition.

-Be as resourceful as you can.

-Change the wanting part of your being that the problem reflects.

-Shift a corresponding fixed mental attitude or belief related to it.

-Move from the current value to a higher one.

-Offer your gratitude in ways relative to the matter

-Be open to all sides of an issue.

-Be willing to change course.

-Since all problems in life are of harmony, discover how to create it.

-Move one or several levels deeper in consciousness as required.

-Accept whatever is required by life for its resolution.

-Be positive and have faith that the solution will come.

-Take the extra step; make the extra effort.

-Think for yourself; avoid the view of the herd.

-Plan out exactly what needs to be done when you know the solution.

-Note the change required in yourself based on the problem, and make it.

-Accept what you are reluctant to accept.

-Intensely pray for the Higher Power to resolve it.

-Deal with it square on.

-Come up with practical solutions.

-Be patient and still.

Solution to Problems in the Cause

Key to Solution of a Problem
There is no problem that does not have a KEY as its solution. In moments of crisis or despair or even in moments of utter elation, MAN seeks an object, a person, an idea or an act which his subconscious longs for. That is the key. (MSS)

Solution to Problem in Cause
The solution to a problem in life can be found in its cause. (Paraphrase of MSS)

Cause of Problem Solves It
To find the solution to any problem, look for the cause. (In Pride and Prejudice Darcy was the cause of the problem of the elopement in the story. It is interesting that he is the force that overcomes the problem of elopement, solving it for all concerned.) We can take this approach for solving all problems. The key is to find the cause. In the cause is the solution.

Solutions to Difficulties are In Them
Most difficulties if not all have their solutions within them only.

Solving Problems through Inner Means; Higher Consciousness

Solving Life Problems
We can solve problems through inner as well as outer means. Inner runs the gamut from changing our perspective and attitude to using the spiritual powers of life. Problem solving must be looked at from an entirely fresh new angles, that include the inner powers to move the outer life.

Solving Problems through Inner Means
Normally when we are troubled by a major problem in our lives, we ponder the problem deeply, gravitate to the solace and help of others, or if desperate, seek help from the beyond, such as through prayer. When the problems occur we are often startled and taken aback, left helpless and alone, lost without the knowledge and power to overcome our troubles. Yet our research has revealed that there are a number of ways we can overcome our serious problems, and even turn them into great successes.

  • See Negative Circumstance as Opportunity To Grow

  • Changing One's Corresponding Nature

  • Consecration [i.e. offer to the Spirit] of History; Offering [i.e. offer to the Spirit] One's Past Responsibilities or Propensities

  • Rationally Think it through

  • Know that the solution is in the problem.

  • Discover the key

Deeper Methods to Solve Problems
Being open to and knowing all sides of a thing, giving up wanting attitudes, using intuition and the power of the spiritual force, moving contradictions to resolution, examining the heart if the matter, are all means to solve a problem. One thus must look deeper than our current approach to solving it.

On Solving Problems
-Man is resourceful. He can solve any problem if he truly puts his mind to it. If he also opens to the spirit in that process, it will be unfailing. In fact, solutions will arrive instantaneously.

-The power of intention to solve a problem will tend to attract solutions from out of nowhere.

-If a problem has not garnered enough of your attention, focus your efforts on it intensely. Solutions will suddenly come on their own from unexpected sources.

Mental Man Can't Resolve Its Problems; but a Higher Nature Will

The Mother says Man is not indifferent to his problems. He is aware of them through his developed mentality compared to the animal. However, he is unconscious of what the solution is; which is the source of all his misery and torment.

Therefore, he needs to develop a higher nature and become more aware of the ways of, of the deeper principles of life, while giving himself increasingly to the spiritual Force. As a result, all of his current concerns, difficulties, and problems will easily be resolved, or even instantly vanish.

Spiritualized Mind to Resolve Life's Problems

We are increasingly becoming rational, mental beings, which is a great, progressive achievement for Man. And yet we are discovering that even such rationality has serious limitations, compelling us to rise to higher still to spiritualized mind of light, intuition, and supra-mental perception, where knowledge and deep truth suddenly appear to us from out of nowhere. Only such spiritual mentality, that garners the object of truth directly in its myriad facets, its wholeness, and essence will give us the knowledge and power to resolve the increasingly difficult problems of life.

World, Individual Transformation

In my eyes, the world can only be transformed if I transform myself.

Solving Others' Problem Overcomes Our Own Limitations

When we solve problems for others, we are also overcoming limitations in ourselves.

Three Levels of Problem Solving: Rationality, Life, and Spirit
When life presents challenges and problems, our understanding of the situation and the choices we make determine the outcome. But what should that choice be based on? On what is rational and reasonable? On what life seems to be indicating through the flow of events? Or something higher, such as the spiritual dimension of life?

Let us say that you are having financial problems. Your debts are higher than your income. For a long time you could get by through borrowing. But when the economy sours, the spread accelerates to the point that you are getting into serious financial difficulty. You then contact several financial advisors, hoping they can lend their advice and financial support. It turns out that one company may offer somewhat better rates than another, so you may be more inclined to move in that direction. This seems like a reasonable and rational course. And yet when the 'better'" organization's representative calls, it is always at the wrong time. Maybe at that moment you had food struck in your throat, or you were in the middle of getting dressed, or were about to settle down to dinner with the family. This second, less polished organization however calls at the right time, has just the right attitude, and seems perfectly in sync with the flow of events in your life.

In this episode, you would be wise to choose Life over rationality. Though it is rational to focus on particular mental approaches to your problem, Life is unfolding in ways that supersede what mind thinks. If one learns the subtle ways that life operates, one can know at any moment in time the best direction to take -- including situations involving problems and challenges.

Having said that, there is yet another power available to us that supersedes Life. It is the realm of the Spirit. For example, if we offer a situation or activity to the Higher Power in an act of sincere consecration, Life will respond quickly and positively on our behalf. If you e.g. had presented the financial problem described above to the spiritual Force and intensely offered up a prayer such as 'Thy Will be done,' life will not only conspire to attract the right advisor, but other positive conditions will present themselves, often from out of nowhere. In this way, the Spirit is able to overcome the exigencies of Life, bringing it under control, and then some.

So the next time a problems or issue arises that warrant your attention, do begin by thinking of reasonable and rational solutions. But also observe the unfoldings of life around you in relationship to that situation, which will present subtle hints and indicators of what to do next, or not to do. When you act based on this knowledge, life is bound to respond favorably. More powerful still is to offer the problem to the Higher Power, which will set in motion a series of events that will simply astound.

Problems in Life are Not Forever
1. Problems surface due to our actions which are not in sync with what we actually should do

Problems are uneasiness in the system of life and many a times they are the indicators for the need of action and it turns to be opportunity when right action is taken as APPA says.

2.Problems appears to be problem when it is not understood in right perspective

When we do not know to answer a situation in life it creates disturbance in mind and in physic and this is called as problem or pain as well.

When one understands problem and knows that it is a need for an action what life is asking for mostly it disappears/

3.Connecting with Divine

When we connect with Divine in situations where our capabilities are not useful, Divine appears and solves problems either directly or indirectly.

Mother acts instantly when called for help and that too if called from heart she acts in fraction of a second is my experience and also for all Mother devotees.

4. Oneness with Divine

When we understand that Life is not there to punish us through problems and it is there to give us abundance and bliss - life becomes one with Divine and one starts to see Divine all around

There is no space for hatred or no space for Ego or No space for even competition as always one realizes that God has created everything enough for all

Hence when one understands what one needs to do at the time when he feels is undergoing a problem is that it is matter of action what we need to take and time what is required to solve a so called problem.

Divine connection reduces time and even in no time it can solve a problem and hence connecting and consecration to Divine is very important

One can ultimately realize that problems are not for ever. (Ramanan)

Solving Problems through Higher Consciousness
-Life evolves through Nature's slow and difficult path. However, we can reverse that and evolve through our higher consciousness. We can thus avoid, Nature's slow, painful, and difficult way.

-There are endless ways to rise in consciousness. Let's confine ourselves to how we can solve society's problems, though it applies to personal/life problems as well.

-One thought is that we can eliminate problems of the earth by having the WILL to do so. When there is the will, nothing can stop that effort. Lack of material resources as a factor falls by the wayside.

-If we are willing to change course, it will serve greatly, as we saw in China, India, and Ireland in recent years. Change your perspective and have the will to move in that new direction and nothing can stop that force. That approach can serve for any problem.

-We need to see beyond our current limited view. We must acknowledge all sides of an issue, all truths, and then decide from that point. Fresh, innovative thinking will add to the power of that knowledge.

-In every problem, there are limited views of it -- whether by the individual or society. That must be overcome as described above.

-Rational, logical thinking must prevail -- not irrationality, superstition, and falsehood.

-On the other hand, the problem solvers need to think for themselves; not be determined by the limited understanding and will of the herd. New understanding that comes from Self-determination is a key to solving anything.

-For those prepared, one can devise solutions through powers beyond mind, including illuminations, intuitions, and revelations of knowledge. One can simply Know what is best and implement it through higher spiritualized powers of Mind by opening to those universal powers. The knowledge of a solution can thus come instantaneously.

-One can develop that inner and universal intuitive capacity by moving to a deeper orientation within.

-Such individuals will be the cosmic pioneers who solve problems through intuitive capacity of silent and spiritualized mind. They tend to be geniuses in their field. Geniuses will be most helpful in any problem-solving endeavor.

-There is a spiritual Force descending on the earth. Anyone that opens to it in reference to a current problem can quickly change its conditions. If the aspirations is ardent, and the knowledge of the issue detailed, calling in the Force can quickly bring good fortune to that domain. It is the greatest power at our disposal.

-In the interim, we should shed all limiting habits, attitudes, opinions, and beliefs relative to the issue. Moving within to enable descents of intuition, and opening to the spiritual Force are then particularly effective.

-The results is instantaneous miraculousness -- aka "Life Response."

-All problems in life are problems of harmony. Wherever there are contradictions and conflicts between parties, a higher harmony should be brought to bear. Look for solutions to problems by examining the two sides of the contradiction and finding a solution that transcends both, yet is acceptable to both. This is not compromise, but a creative movement to the New.

-To achieve in life, including solving society's problems the process of creation needs to be followed. I.e. a vision of what is to be accomplished, the will to see it through, the organization of the details, and the execution through high values, skills, and attitudes. It is an unfailing approach.

-Taking to all of these solutions we create the greatest Efficiency in life -- i.e. the ability to create the greatest result with the least effort in the shortest period of time.

-There is a center of Solutions to any problem. Every party must reorient and change themselves relative to that Essence and Truth. To the degree they do, they solve.

-E.g. in problems of poverty there is the issue of the poor's reversal from poverty consciousness to a new orientation towards wealth. At the same time, the government could be sincerely serious in trying to solve that problem. Each party must make the necessary adjustment relative to that Center of Truth that is the problem's solution.

-In the process of social development, a pioneer formulates and then executes the subconscious, emerging will of the society, moving it forward. In problem solving there will also be pioneers who perceive things never quite seen before, yet which the society subconsciously aspires for. The pioneer will lead problem solving through his or her initiative.

-The outcome of every decision and actions is determined by the consciousness behind. Raising consciousness through a vast array of inner and outer methods/behaviors are the ultimate determinants of the efficiently, creatively, dynamism created.

-Through inner and spiritual means, limits of possibility dissolve, time and space and overcome, as the infinite moves into the finite. In this way, the problems of society are rapidly and most efficiently and elegantly solved.

-The solution to any problem is found in the problem itself. Understand it, and you will know the solution.

-Look at any problem in society and correlate it to a wanting personal attitude or belief. If we change it, the society will suddenly respond in kind, once again proving that the outer is a reflection of, and one with the inner.

-(MSS) There is no problem that does not have a KEY as its solution. In moments of crisis or despair or even in moments of utter elation, MAN seeks an object, a person, an idea or an act which his subconscious longs for. That is the key.

-Interest in exploring the details of a problem can instantaneously attract a positive response from life that solves it.

-Moving away from ego, selfishness, and separateness, and embracing the truth in others and in the real conditions of life serves the problem-solving cause.

-Seeing the evolutionary arc -- of where things have truly been, where they are, and where they are going will help in solving the problems of society. To truly perceive that arc is to know the evolution of society itself.

-Developing the subtle sense of what is happening around you, and therefore knowing what is the right direction or tack to take.

-Knowing the subtle principles of life -- such as inner-outer correspondence, the laws of acts, etc -- which enables you to get at the truth of the matter.

Better Solutions Through Higher Consciousness
Humans consist of physical, vital/emotional, and mental planes. In the last 50 years or so the power of mind has begun to emerge, though very slowly. We are mostly dominated by the impulses, desires, attachments, of the vital. Therefore solutions to world problems are often based on the ego-sense of the vital, rather than the less prejudiced mechanism of the mind. Just moving to this state will be a boon to solving many of the world's problems, as we move away from the vital attachments of being self-observed with our money, power, social group, or allegiance to religion or nation. At the mental level we begin to see the broader truths that the reality of the world present. To move to this level in earnest would be a great achievement for the world.

Further still we can move to the powers of the spirit or spiritual mind. At this plane new levels of intuition are developed in the individual; thoughts, understanding, solutions, and answers descend into the mind from higher planes, with less need to go through the mind's limiting process of understanding by bits, divisions, half-truths, and ignorances. When pioneering individuals learn to open to the higher mental and spiritual forces, higher knowledge, understanding, and insight will descend into the conscious awareness of the individual, bringing better solutions to world problems; solutions that have a natural unity and integrality that sees the bigger picture, that understands the broader scope, that embraces the greatest number, that is less prejudiced in its result, that creates a higher unity where there is conflict, that is more creative in its possibilities, that is more dynamic, tapping infinite potentials of life that are made real when one enters the higher mental and spiritual domains.

If decision makers, leaders, and thinkers can begin to operate from this poise then the solutions that will intuitively appear in their minds will have vastly superior quality and power to negotiate and solve the abundant problems of the world.

Preemptive Problem Solving in the New World

Life divides into Nature and Soul. It is mostly the workings of Nature that we experience in our daily lives. It's way of progress is slow, difficult, and painful. On the other hand, Soul -- i.e. higher consciousness; of the Spirit -- is experienced far less.

The Tsunami of Asia, hurricane Katrina in the US, and 9/11 are movements of Nature; as is war, disease, and various forms of conflict, hardship, and tragedy. The world unfortunately often progresses through this torturous method. In particular, it tends to deal with problems only after tragedy has run its course. We are forced to follow Nature's way of progress, because humanity was reluctant to solve these problems in the first place. Nature has stepped in and rid the world of its reluctance, its unwillingness, its inertia, its lack of cooperation, its lack of action, through its difficult methods.

This however is the old way. We need not progress only through pain, difficulty, and tragedy. We can avoid it by being proactive. By exercising our mind and having the courage to see what is before us, and then act on it is the better, the more conscious way. It is the way of Soul; avoiding Nature's difficult path of contradiction, conflict, and pain.

The lesson of Tsunami, Katrina, and other tragic circumstances are that we can no longer wait for such tragedies to unfold to solve problems. We must reverse course, and become preemptive; using the power of rational mind to see the true conditions, and have the courage and will power to act to change them. This is the way of Soul, the new form of progress that awaits humanity, replacing the difficult ways of Nature.

Solving Problems by Changing One's Nature

Changing One's Corresponding Nature
The most direct, radical, and effective method for dealing with serious or long-term problems is to take any serious problem and relate it to a corresponding weakness in your character or capacities.

Solving Work Problems through Spirit and by Overcoming Wanting Attitudes
Work referred to Mother's Consciousness moves smoothly and any attending difficulty however great is dissolved in that consciousness. If some difficulties still persist they will represent fixed mental attitudes of the person. Until and unless such psychological attitudes are spotted and reversed, the problems will persist. If they are removed, the problems will vanish INSTANTANEOUSLY. (MSS)

Solution to a Problem
-We are locked into a problem. Our knowledge of its solution is the key to that lock, which when turned in it, dissolves the problem.

-A black woman abandoned her young baby in a drunken bout. A white woman took the baby, offered her love in full measure and tried her best to discover the mother who had given the baby up. It was in vain. In the meantime, the baby, which was the recipient of endless, affectionate attention from one in affluence, flowered as a fresh bloom.

Three years passed and now the real mother came to claim the child. The child would not go to her and the white foster mother was most reluctant to part with the object of her affection. The court decided unwillingly in favour of the alcoholic black parent. The child's life became one of non-stop wailing. As a parting memento the white lady had given the child of three years one of her hair clips. One day when the black mother demanded that her child fully recognise her motherhood, she tyrannised over it in various ways. The child was obstinate as only the physical personality can be obstinate.

She fell asleep crying in the bathtub. A little later, the defeated mother, growing compassionate, came to the child and found her clinging to the symbol of love, the hair clip. This led to the reconciliation of the contention.

There is no problem that does not have a KEY as its solution, as the hair clip was here. In moments of crisis or despair or even in moments of utter elation, MAN seeks an object, a person, an idea or an act which his subconscious longs for. That is the key.

-A patient search will reveal the key to any solution of problems in our life, if we are painstaking. (MSS, extracted)

Move to a Higher Level to Resolve a Lower Level Problem
There is a relatively simple method to follow to resolve problems in life: simply move to the next highest level of consciousness. E.g. if a nation is at odds with another -- which is in essence political -- then they should look toward reconciliation through economic means. The political will be smoothed over through economic cooperation. Likewise, if there is economic strife between two nations, they can move toward greater cultural harmony. The economic issue will then take care of itself in the wake of deeper cultural bonds. Thus, the ascending scale in this particular domain is political, economic, cultural, and spiritual. Similar scales can be developed for other collectives -- whether business, government, or education -- providing simple guidance for resolving lower level problems through higher level solutions.

The same fundamental principle applies to individual humans. If we are in conflict with another, say at the vital/emotional level, we should move to a higher level still -- i.e. the mental -- to resolve the conflict or impasse. Shedding conflicting feelings for the greater neutrality of reason creates headway for new understanding and positive opportunities. Similarly, if ideas clash at the mental level, one can rise above our limited point of view and embrace the many-sided view of an open and rational mind. It is a movement from exclusive mentality to an all embracing, rational and reasonable one, taking in all sides. Moreover, by taking this higher mental tact, we tend to experience insight as well as sudden descents of intuitions of truth and knowledge.

There is also a shortcut method to this overall approach. Rather than move to the next highest plane, one can simply take directly to the Spirit. That will overcomes all problems at any levels below it -- whether physical, vital/emotional, or mental. When we offer the matter, to the spiritual Force, we will see that new solutions, possibilities, and insights arise out of nowhere, overcoming the problem or difficulty at the lower level. That opening to the Higher Power tends to attract fresh, unexpected, stunning, creative outcomes from out of thin air.

There are many ways to express the spirit, from being calm and still in the face of difficult situations to shifting your position from one of selfishness and assertion to selflessness and self-givingness. At that plane, all problems below it tend to quickly dissipate. Thus, any connection to the spirit -- including inner silence, reduced and soft speech, equality of being in the face of difficulty, self-givingness, seeing all sides of an issue, and opening to the spiritual Force -- will resolve all difficulty in planes below, from mind to vital to body.

Life has evolved from matter to animated, vital life forms to mentality to spirit. Our center is however mostly vital, which is possessive, demanding, egocentric, seperative, and exclusive. If we move to mind and spirit, we can overcome all conflicts in the levels below. E.g., our human vital interactions can shed their negative element, and turn harmonious and thoroughly enjoyable.

Also, if we are centered in a deeper poise within, instead of being overwhelmed by the surface occurrences of life, we can at every moment perceive how we can move to the next higher level where life is harmonious as well as miraculously responsive.

Why not then list several areas of your life where there is difficulty, and determine what inner or outer behavior would be a movement to a higher level. If you identify it and then act on it, not only will problems be resolved or dissipate, but you yourself will begin to the next highest level in consciousness, where you will experience greater clarity, focus, energy, success, and joy.

Solving Problems by Forgetting Them

Forget Problem to Solve It
Interestingly one of the best ways to solve a problem is to forget it. When we dwell
on our poverty, illness, debts and failure etc we are only immersing ourselves more into it. On the other hand, those who forget these when they arise are putting themselves in a psychologically strong position that will help them dissolve the problem. Our emotions are less invested in them, our being is freer, and we are more susceptible to positive influences.

Forget Problems to Solve Them
The more a person worries the worse the problem gets and the less a person thinks about a problem the more easy it becomes to solve the problem.

Forgetting a Problem Dissolves It
-Problems disappear when the human soul forgets them.

-He who dwells on his poverty, illness, debts and failure etc is only immersing himself or herself more into it. On the other hand those who forget their poverty, illness and debts and failure etc are putting themselves in a psychologically strong position that will help them dissolve the problem.

-Worrying about a problem only means that we have not truly surrendered our problem to the Divine.

Forgetting Problem Dissolves It
A problem has life as long as we dwell on it. The moment we forget it, we refuse to charge it with our energy. It dissolves. [Life moves in ways thereafter to dissolve the problem.] (MSS, w/additional)

Solving A Problem by Forgetting It
There is a line in Sri Aurobindo's thoughts and Aphorisms that problems disappear when the human soul forgets them. We have to figure out why forgetting removes problems. Our normal tendency when we are afflicted with a problem that seems to defy a solution is to keep worrying about it. Worry is only energising the problem and giving it a greater strength. When we forget the problem it means we have the psychological strength to wean ourselves away from the problem. Life respects that strength and takes steps to solve our problems.

Following this line of reasoning it becomes clear that he who dwells on his poverty, illness, debts and failure etc is only immersing himself or herself more into it. On the other hand those who forget their poverty, illness and debts and failure etc are putting themselves in a psychologically strong position that will help them dissolve the problem.

Worrying about a problem only means that we have not truly surrendered our problem to Mother. If a man prays to Mother for a good job and then keeps worrying if he will get a good job or not has not really handed over the problem to Her at all. On the other hand if he prays for a good job and then from that moment on wards forgets his jobless condition and becomes cheerful and confident that he is going to a get a job soon it means he has really handed over his problem to Her and Grace has energised him already and made him cheerful as if he has the job on hand now.

This makes it clear that worry is a sign of lack of faith and it means we are relying on our understanding only and not on Her Grace. Forgetting the problem once a prayer has been voiced to Mother is a sign of a strong faith that knows for sure that Grace is working on the problem and will bring about the solution.

The organised part of the human personality actually resists change and innovation of any kind. Organisation is good for many reasons. But when the organisation becomes ossified and rigid as it happens with many institutions that are very old the very organisation becomes inimical to change and innovation. According to him therefore grace tries to enter his life through the unorganised parts of his personality where he is not conscious and alert. (MSS, slightly modified)

Not Paying Attention to an Illness.
If you remove your focus on an illness, it tends to improve itself on its own. when you give too much attention to an illness, it tends to increase. Your anxiety adds negative energy to what is wrong. This is also true when it first comes to you. If your immediate reaction is fear or over concern, the problem will likely increase.

Using the Spirit to Resolve Problems

Consecrating a Problem Suddenly Overcomes IS
We can consecrate a problem (i.e. offer it to the Divine) to solve it, while making every possible effort on our part to solve it. Life will respond overwhelmingly.

Inner, Spiritual Approach to Solving A Negative Situation
When a negative occurs, it can be an indicator that a much bigger  positive is to come. E.g., if you lose something you enjoyed, then  consecrating the emotion of loss, as well as the specifics of the  situation tends to attract a much bigger positive. Often life itself  does this - in its own slow measure, through pain, which we call  'Nature' -- but by consciously developing and acting on a strategy and  opening to the Force, the process is accelerated and amplified.

Our approach is that the inner determines the outer. All power over  the outer life lies there. We just need to identify what is the key  for us in given situations. Faulty attitudes, emotions, beliefs, as  well as right strategies for the future, etc. need to be considered.  We need to take that extra time to develop the right approach. That is  what our rational mind is for.

When we make the decision and act on that conception, life responds.  Self-offering of the act to the Force will serve to bring about the  best conditions of life; attract the infinite from the finite;  overcome usual perceptions of cause and effect, and space and time. It  begins however with our organized mental approach to overcoming our  limits and taking to right strategies to improve the situation. It is  the process of creation in action. Self-offering of the act to the  Force assures the very best of outcomes.

Nature vs. Spirit's Way to Overcome Problems, Knots of the Past
Unless one consciously digs them up and holds them up to the descending Light, the problems and knots of the past have to undo themselves by the negative impact of life events. This is Nature's way. The first, the spiritually conscious approach, is preferable, in terms of greater speed, joy, and great results, undoing the burdens of the past ways. (Paraphrase of MSS)

And yet when the 'better' organization's representative calls, it is always at the wrong time.

When we connect with Divine in situations where our capabilities are not useful , Divine appears and solves problems either directly or indirectly.

(Ramanan)

All Problems are of Harmony

All Problems are Problems of Harmony
For all problems of existence are essentially problems of harmony. (Sri Aurobindo)

All Problems in Life are Problems of Harmony
If we look across the spectrum of life and existence we can see that all problems can be solved by creating higher degrees of harmony. That is true for the individual, the society, the world, and the universe.

We can view any situation where there is a problem and see how creating a greater degree of harmony between the parties involved can solve the problem. For example, when there is a vast reservoir of food in one part of the world and not in the other, then the problem is not of abundance, but of working out greater balance and harmonies between nations.

If you examine any work, any field of endeavor, one can see that problems can be resolved by bringing about greater coordination, cooperation, and collaboration; by bringing differing values and attitudes into the same line among the participants. This is true of social entities, between people, even within the individual person.

By bringing greater harmony between the different aspects of his or her being a problem can be solved. Such aspects include between the physical, vita/emotional, and mental part; or we can look at it as a harmony among one's attitudes, habits, and opinions, values, level of  organization, energy, and so forth. The ultimate harmonies are spiritual in nature. We call that Oneness.

-Harmony does not mean to compromise. It means to use a higher understanding to find a true reconciliation between the opposites we encounter, for all opposites are portions of a Oneness that seeks expression through the diverse play of their opposition. Constantly strive to find the widest and most encompassing harmony in all that you do.

Following the Process of Accomplishment in Problem Solving
There is one fundamental process of creation in the universe. The same process that enabled the universe to emerge from a Divine source, is the process by which we create and accomplish in life. For us the process is to envision a goal, willfully want to accomplish it, organize the details and strategies and carry it out with skill and right attitude. If we do so, we will accomplish our goal and then some. We will also garner the sudden cooperation of life for our efforts. Sudden good fortune will descend on us from all directions.

This same approach can be applied to problem solving. Once we focus on a problem to be solved, intensely want to solve it, consider the details from all sides, and act skillfully and consciously to find solutions, they will quickly begin to appear. Even if we struggled with solutions earlier, now they will suddenly arise before us. They may arrive through intuitions of thought, where the solution simply springs into the mind from out of nowhere; or it may come in the form of a response from life, where good fortune suddenly comes to us from unlikely sources, such as a sudden phone call from an unknown party providing the complete resolution to our problem. The latter is what I call the miraculous-like phenomenon of 'Life Response."

The key in solving the problem is to really forces on it, want it, and examine it and staying positive at every step. If we do that, life will cooperate and brings forth solutions from all sides, from outside, as well as from within.

Relationship Between Major and Minor Problems
It is a law of life that the abolition of a major problem will be followed by minor problems unless the major relief is received with gratitude. (MSS)

Turning Problem into Opportunity though Evolving Soul

The Spirit when invoked does not merely solve the problem on hand. As it is the evolving Spirit, it transforms the problem into an opportunity. (Sri Karmayogi)

Paraphrase: When one connects to the Psychic Being (the evolving Soul), one does not merely overcome the difficulty in front of us, but a transformative opportunity is created, thereby mirroring Itself.

Toughest Upward Shift Attracts Abundance

The toughest upward shift for each individual is the secret domain for his abundance. (MSS)

[Comment: "The toughest upward shift ..." Yes, it is where life powerfully responds in the form of great accomplishment. Many of us on the path have seen this Life Response dynamic in action!

Overcoming Our Unique Obstacles in Life

Each of us is given a specific set of obstacles to overcome in life. Often they directly correspond to very specific limitations in our being, such as a wanting attitude or belief. When we identify and overcome it, life lifts us up. We thereby fulfill our life's purpose, both at the individual and collective level. Also, our evolving soul which has incarnated in our being is further nourished, as it continues its journeys through time.

Examples of How Higher Harmony Resolves Problems of Life, and Evokes Response

"All Problems of Life are Problems of Harmony" says Sri Aurobindo. This is an overwhelming Truth that can change the world.

E.g. we think there is shortage of resources, but the problem is one of right distribution, which can occur through higher harmony between the parties. Life will respond positively on top of that.

We think a problem between ourselves and our adversary is intractable. But it can be solved by taking a step out of ego and towards harmony. Life will then quickly respond in astonishing ways.

We think our wants are at odds with what life is giving us. But we can reconcile that contradiction with the higher harmony that comes from a higher consciousness that sees beyond this. Life then takes over and fulfills our fondest dreams; or if not these, fulfills greater dreams never imagined.

Ad infinitum for all of life.

Right Reaction to Difficulty

The first approach to difficulty is to remain calm, stay positive, and not react. As a result, the problem will tend to lose its strength or even completely dissolve.  (2009-2011 Q1)

Problems and Stillness

The greater the problem, the greater the need for inner stillness and calm to resolve it. It is therefore a great opportunity for growth in consciousness. (2009-2011 Q1)

Overly Focusing on Problem Intensifies It

It is true that a problem unaddressed can only get worse, but it is also true that a difficulty overly focused on will only intensify. Having the discrimination to see the difference is a key to problem solving. (2009-2011 Q1)
