REASON'S FOR THE
USA'S MATERIAL SUCCESS

it was
her time in the evolutionary progress of the earth, in
Nature's unfolding.

she faced
a vast new virgin land, and had access to infinite physical
endowments

the
people were hungry for a new start in the new world after
oppression and limited opportunity in the old

the
people had the memory of and thus the full capacity to
recreate Europe easily and rapidly

her
people were dedicated to hard work
-
her
people were dedicated to self-reliance
-
to
facilitate her productivity she took to enormously efficient
and practical systems of organization
-
she was
continually refreshed by the energies of new immigrants
-
the
immigrants get along is a vast experiment in social harmony

she was
able to uncover the infinity of the material world
-
her
people felt they had the freedom and lack of social
constraints so that they could rise to their full potential

they
believed in education

power and
authority was decentralized into the lower levels of society

LIMITS & CHALLENGES FOR THE USA
-
If the US is to maintain its
leadership role that the world has deferred to, it must move
beyond merely being a material, economic, power leader. It must
become a psychological leader, a leader in the social spheres, a
leader of the Spirit.
-
Though the
material has served a great purpose, it should not be valued in
of itself, but as an opening to true fulfillment of Man, to his
psychological, and eventually, his spiritual needs.
-
The US has found the infinite
in matter. She needs to bring out that same infinite in
all of the other dimensions of life and existence, including he
psychological, the blossoming of the mind, and beyond to an
opening to the Spirit.
-
America's fascination with the
material only view rooted in science, excluding the subtle
forces, values, and powers of life causes it to see only a small
part of reality, not the whole, which invariably leads to
matching every advance and development, with an equal negative
formation of it (e.g. nuclear bombs to the splitting of the
atom).
-
Americans "think with their bodies." I.e.
their basis of thought are the external objects they see front
of them -- i.e. what the mind absorbs through the five senses --
instead of engaging in deliberate and rational thinking.
-
She can begin to make the
psychological adjustment by developing values that support the
full blossoming and development of Man, not just values that
support material prosperity and well-being.
-
Her obsession with violence, war, and the
physical side of life will only attract new forms of physical
destruction like 9/11.
-
The US must take responsibility for its past
actions, and admit its mistakes.
-
The US should avoid its reactionary
tendencies in politics and religion.
America that valued pure talents and overtook the world
has started being conservative for over a hundred years in
certain things in certain areas.
-
The great evolutionary change
in the nature of man is likely to come first through the
United States and her people.
-
The USA in
many ways is trying several experiments in social evolution. So
she is in the evolutionary vanguard.
-
The future
leadership of the world is not even for the Mind. It goes to the
Spirit. Whoever goes after the Spirit as a
practical living reality that brings sudden and abundant
infinite results, will qualify for the
leadership of the world. The subtle nation of
Asia, like India, already have this capacity, and may apply it
before the USA.
