On Pride
Pride is an ego movement involving that which one apparently has achieved or possesses or is endowed with.

Pride is a vital, psychological movement of self-attachment to what one believes is superior inside or out.

A favorable and especially unduly high opinion of one's capacities, possessions, achievements is pride.

Pride takes pleasure in what one believes or is.

Pride attracts opposition from others who reject or come in conflict with it.

Pride is valuing one's self with the ego.

Love and truth have no pride.

Man enjoys his capacities being rewarded. He really prides in the society recognising him for non-existing capacities. Pride of class and caste arise thus.  (MSS)
