Develop An Inner Poise
One can begin in one's life a movement from
living on the surface of life to the depths within. As one withdraws
from the surface in our daily activities, as we move deeper within, we
are far less troubled by the outside, because we have found the calm,
Inner Being within. From that poise problems on the outside melt away,
because we cease to exist in our ego state, or state of separateness.
From this inner poise we are able to calmly see all our mistakes,
impulses, overreactions, poor attitudes, assertive opinions, etc. that
occur on the outside. By being stationed within, our day moves along
more calmly, sweetly, perfectly, integrally. Things unfold more as peace
and joy.
Leave Results to Divine
To do at each moment the best we can and leave
the result to the Divine's decision, is the surest way to peace,
happiness, strength, progress and final perfection. (The Mother)
Dwelling on Divine and Feeling of
Inner Peace
To move from a routine personality of occupation in the mind to
serious dwelling on the Divine is inwardly indicate by dullness if
nerves giving place to stillness of mind felt as peace in the nerves.

When the mind turns to Mother and pleasantly and fully allows Her to

Structureless Inner Peace of the Spirit
Our lives are structured and there is no Peace as long as the structure
remains. By structure, I mean codes of life or values of life. Values
are valuable. The peace offered by a life of values or moral codes is
not attainable by all. It is great. But when all the structures are
dissolved, one is free from the society as well as one's own psychology.
One whose house is
full of expensive furniture and consumer durables is proud of possessing
them. In truth, they are possessed by these chattels. It is much more so
with money. Owners of considerable money are always possessed by it,
making the owner an Asura. Possessions can give you comfort and pride,
not freedom. There is no real Peace as long as you are possessed by
material things.
One enjoys the
affection of many people, particularly the one whom he loves. It is
elevating. Elevation and exultation may be true, but they are not Peace.
Spiritual Peace is non-possessive, and it is
structureless. Sri Aurobindo speaks of the Silence behind Silence. It is
the Silence of Brahman. External peace gives a peaceful outer life.
Inner Peace that is without structure includes the external peace. It is
of great power. Its power issues from the fact that it is not supported

Spiritual Peace in
Old Age
What can enable security in old age? It is Spiritual Peace. It overcomes
loneliness, sense of failure, and other psychological afflictions of the
elderly. It is also true for the young. Spiritual peace is Ultimate

Individual Peace and World Peace
Peace and harmony of the wider world is reflected in the domestic
peace and harmony of a person, especially if he is one whose heart is
devoted to world peace. (MSS)
Silence as Foundation of
World Peace
It is from a status of Silence that we can elicit peace and harmony
among the nations of the world.
As Silence is one aspect of the Spirit, Peace, Unity, Truth, Knowledge,
Power, Beauty, Love, Joy, Infinity and Eternity are also aspects of
Spirit. As soon as Silence descends, a great power develops. You feel
like getting up and running. When Peace enters you, you see it is full
of energy. Light entering the mind answers unresolved questions. Beauty
makes you lose yourself. Joy thrills. Love fills the heart. In practice
ONLY one aspect enters you.
calling the Spirit or the Mother who is the Mother of Spirit. That call
releases a spiritual peace, unattainable even in death. It enters the
nerves, fills the cells of the body, i.e. the very Being.
The Divine comes
down into us in two aspects, Consciousness and Force. The different
parts of our being which respond, experience Silence, Light, Love,
Delight and Power. When the Force aspect of the Divine is recognised, it
is felt as Peace. When Peace and Silence combine, they can give a deeper

Patience enables physical, vital, and mental calm and peace, which are
the foundation of infinite energy, progress, and prosperity.

Money's Role in
the Establishment of
Peace;
I.e. How Law & Order Enables More Money
-Positively, Money can build law and order; negatively it can
degenerate law and order. (By law and order, we mean peace and calm in
the community.)
-When those laws
are respected by all the community, peace prevails.
-In a new
neighborhood, plots and properties are sold and bought. They are ruled
by the laws of the society.
-Where peace
unquestioningly prevails, prices soar. [Because there is stability there
that attracts.] It is a function of Money.
-What is law and
order socially is called peace and calm spiritually. It is the spiritual
peace that descends on the society as stability. Money plays its part
all along.
Calling Down
Spiritual Peace
Calling Aspect of Spirit that is
Peace
-You can invoke any spiritual aspect, including the force that is peace.
-We can access the Divine power
of Peace by calling it down. Call "peace, peace", and it will come.
-Calling peace can still the
environment outside and within
Results of Calling Peace
Calling Peace in a riot or other negative circumstance will ease and
calm the situation quickly.
Calling Peace Before Sleep
Calling Peace before sleeping will aid in deep rest that is
refreshing.
Showers of Peace to Ease Physical
Suffering
To help
one's self or another in pain or illness you can send light from the
heart or call down showers of peace from the Force.
