Introduction to
Spirit
We can
begin our discovery of spirit by learning how we can
engage in Spiritual
Silence and Equality, as well as open to the Spiritual
Force, attracting powerful positive response from
life.
-There
are also a number of spiritual behaviors that are
key to the spiritual life, including
self-givingness,
higher attitudes,
goodwill,
patience,
faith,
gratitude,
silent will,
non-initiative,
living in the depths, and
many others. Taking to any of these in higher order
will tend to bring greater harmony, wisdom, peace,
creativity, intuition, joy, and love.
-Then
we can learn to see the big picture of spirit, in such
articles as
the course of
human evolution, including
the makeup of the individual, our current status,
and our evolutionary possibility;
as well as our comprehensive
Theory of Creation, in which we describe the nature
of the Spiritual Reality and the process by which
universe emerged from it.
-Perhaps the one great theme at the site is the power we
have to
instantaneously move life outside ourselves from
within, which we call "Life
Response." This miraculous-like phenomenon of life
is based on the principle of life called "Inner-Outer
Correspondence." They both reflect an essential

Character of Life, expressing through various
laws and principles.

AUROBINDO, MOTHER SITE
Sri Aurobindo was the Indian sage and seer who developed an
extraordinary visionary philosophy about the course of the future
evolution of humanity, synthesizing the deepest insight of the
East with the modern evolutionary thinking of the West. Many of
the concepts of Growth Online come from his insights, as well as
those of his philosophical disciples. In that light, we have
developed a
companion site that
describes
in great depth
his
Sri Aurobindo's
life, his rich spiritual philosophy and insights, and his methods
for individual progress and evolution. Sri
Aurobindo
wrote extensively on such subjects as the origins and process of
creation of the universe; the nature of matter, life, and mind;
the origins and nature of consciousness; and the methods of
connecting with spirit in life. His goal was to show humanity the
way out of suffering, duality, and strife, and the way to a new
spirit-based, divine life on earth. In addition, he wrote
extensively on social evolution, human unity, the future
literature and poetry, and many other subjects. His titanic
intellect and intuitive insight has led many to believe that he
was the greatest thinker and seer of the last hundred years. In
addition, the site reveals the details of the astonishing life and
influence of Sri Aurobindo's spiritual companion, The Mother.
