Greed
Greed is vital need to possess in excess at the expense of others.

On Greed
Greed does not have any qualification.
Anything is a qualification for greed.
Man demands, takes for granted everything is due to him.
Left to himself he can take anything from anybody with a sense of right.
This is the attitude of the physical where the vital is born.
War is the national institution that symbolizes this attitude.
Only Lydia and her mother have this naked, blatant attitude.
Greed not only feels its right to exist, it celebrates its existence, demands a prize for its service! Nobel Prize goes to its theoretical formulation. (MSS)

Greed and Freedom
When full freedom is sensed, one's greed appears. (MSS)

Greed acts like blind love, makes credulity [gullibility] the creed.

It acquires a velocity and acceleration in an inverse fashion - increasing credulity increases happiness. (MSS)

Those who have the subtle knowledge will rise sky high if they invoke the Spirit. One who joined a company as a manager took to the Spirit and his work boomed. The company offered him twice the bonus they originally promised. He was content with what had been promised. The Spirit emerged through his absence of greed. Three years later, he owned the company. Subtle knowledge gives guaranteed results. When the Spirit is added to that, that result becomes an infinite result. This is a rule without exception. (MSS)

Instead of relying on personal greed and perversity and then bowing to karma, there is an alternative for MAN. He can rely on God instead of on his capacity, resort to utter truthfulness instead of indulging in perverse tricky stratagems. Then karma will bow his head to MAN. (MSS)

Greed and Need for Gov't Regulation
The crash of 1825 and 1929 were symptoms that an entrepreneurial society is coming under the ill effect of capitalism. It is there we need government regulation to curb the GREED of the population. (MSS)

Greed Amongst the Nations of Europe and WWII
-Like the races of Middle Earth (in Lord of the Rings), the nations of Europe were in disharmony prior to WWII. In addition, the actions they took were often questionable ones, that brought out their own greed and mercenary qualities that in the end only facilitated the rise of Nazi Germany.

-Before WWII, the nations of the world were unconscious. They did not cooperate. In fact, the financial powers engaged in speculation that drove down the world's economy and gave rise to Nazism and fascism that caused over 60 million to die. Only after did Europe learn its bitter lessons of non-cooperation in the face of a rising menace, and the earlier greed of rampant financial speculation.

DotCom Collapse and Greed
In the case of the DotCom collapse, greed was behind it as financiers quickly pulled their funds when they did not garner immediate results for their tech investments.

The Market that Overcomes Greed
